Anti Ragging Cell

The college is following the guidelines given by the ICAR regarding anti ragging. Anti Ragging Cell has been constituted in the college. The Associate Dean of the college is the Chairman of the Anti Ragging Cell.

Ragging is prohibited as per Act 26 of A.P. Legislative Assembly, 1997.

The students are sensitized on the ill effects of ragging and the legal proceedings in curbing the practice. Awareness is created through orientation programs in the first semester before the commencement of academic year. The hostels are also under strict vigilance and it is ensured that students learn to respect and accept peers beyond their cultural and regional differences.

· Several measures are taken by this institution to ensure a pleasant environment to the 1st year students.

Anti- ragging squad is constituted every year at the college level with faculty members and students from time to time.
The Anti-ragging committee members make surprise visits to the academic blocks/hostels and other places vulnerable for ragging
Awareness meetings on anti ragging were organized with the support of department of police and legal experts with a view to motivate the provisions of the act on prohibition of ragging.
